The Power of Personalized & Consistent Learning
At CHA, we see firsthand how one-on-one education and consistent attendance fuels academic success—even with just three-hour school days! Our students thrive in a structured yet flexible environment that prioritizes year-round, uninterrupted learning, helping them maintain momentum and build on their progress without long gaps in instruction.
With personalized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs, students retain more information, strengthen critical thinking skills, and advance in core subjects like reading and math at an accelerated pace. Our data shows that our students often exceed typical growth expectations, proving that a focused, uninterrupted approach to learning leads to real, measurable results
Here’s what we’ve seen
Why does this matter?
According to NWEA norms, a typical second grader or fourth grader taking the MAP Growth test might see a growth of 10-12 RIT points over the course of a full academic year. At CHA, students with strong attendance often exceed this growth in just a few months. This shows that one on one instruction and consistent attendance often surpass this growth in just a few months, learning at an accelerated pace while averaging just three hours of instruction per day!
While we cannot guarantee these results for every student, this is the level of excellence we strive for in supporting each child’s success.
WHat is a RIT Score?
The RIT score (Rasch Unit) is a way to measure a student's academic progress over time. Unlike traditional grades, it doesn’t compare students to their peers or to a set standard for their grade level. Instead, it tracks their individual growth—kind of like a height chart for learning!
Here’s what makes the RIT score unique:
Measures growth over time – No matter where a student starts, we can see their progress.
Consistent scale – A 10-point gain means the same thing whether a student is in 2nd grade or 8th grade.
Personalized learning insights – Helps us understand exactly where a student is thriving and where they may need more support.
